lokavīraṃ mahāpūjyaṃ sarvarakṣākaraṃ vibhum |
pārvatīhṛdayānandaṃ śāstāraṃ praṇamāmyaham ||1||
The champion of all worlds, worthy of the highest worship, the all-protecting refuge, the omnipresent Lord who brings joy to Mother Pārvatī's heart, to that Śāstā, I bow with devotion.
viprapūjyaṃ viśvavandyaṃ viṣṇuśambhoḥ priyaṃ sutam |
kṣipraprasādanirataṃ śāstāraṃ praṇamāmyaham ||2||
Worshipped by sages, revered by the whole universe, the cherished son of Viṣṇu and Śiva who is ever ready to shower blessings without delay, to that Śāstā, I bow with devotion.
mattamātaṃgagamanaṃ kāruṇyāmṛtapūritam |
sarvaviGhnaharaṃ devaṃ śāstāraṃ praṇamāmyaham ||3||
Majestic as a mighty elephant in his stride, overflowing with the nectar of compassion the divine remover of every obstacle, to that Śāstā, I bow with devotion.
asmatkulēśvaraṃ devam asmacChatru-vināśanam |
asmadiṣṭapradātāraṃ śāstāraṃ praṇamāmyaham ||4||
The guardian deity of our family, the destroyer of our foes who fulfils all our heartfelt desires, to that Śāstā, I bow with devotion.
pāṇḍyēśavaṃśatilakaṃ kēralē kēlivigrahm |
ārttrāṇaparaṃ devaṃ śāstāraṃ praṇamāmyaham ||5||
The crest jewel of the Pāṇḍya dynasty, who sports his divine form gracefully in Kerala who is devoted entirely to rescuing those in suffering, to that Śāstā, I bow with devotion.
pañcaratnākhyametadyo nityaṃ śuddhaḥ paṭhennaraḥ |
tasya prasanno bhagavān śāstā vasati mānasē ||
Whoever reads this "Five Gems" hymn every day with a pure heart for them, the gracious Lord Śāstā, well pleased, will reside always in their heart.
