Attributed to Prativadi Bhayankara Sri Anantacharya, the Sri Venkateswara Stotram praises Lord Venkateswara as the supreme refuge and compassionate protector of devotees.

Across 11 verses, the hymn also celebrates Him through the forms and qualities of Krishna and Rama. Its concluding verses express remembrance, surrender, service at His lotus feet and a heartfelt prayer for forgiveness.

kamalākucacūcukakuṅkumatō niyatāruṇitātula nīlatanō |
kamalāyatalocanālōkapatē vijayībhava vēṅkaṭaśailapatē || 1 ||

Your chest, touched by Lakshmi's lotus-like breasts, is always red with kumkum, and your body glows with an unmatched deep blue color.
O lotus-eyed Lord of all worlds, O Master of Venkata Hill — may you always be victorious!

sacaturmukhaṣaṇmukhapañcamukhapramukhākhiladaivatamauḷimaṇē |
śaraṇāgatavatsalasāranidhē paripālaya māṃ vṛṣaśailapatē || 2 ||

You shine as the supreme crown jewel above all gods — including Brahma, Subrahmanya, and Shiva.
O ocean of compassion, O loving protector of those who surrender to you — O Lord of Vrisha Hill, please protect me.

ativēlatayā tava durviṣahaiḥ anuvēlakṛtairaparādhaśataiḥ |
bharitaṃ tvaritaṃ vṛṣaśailapatē parayā kṛpayā paripāhi harē || 3 ||

Weighed down by countless serious sins committed against you at every moment,
I come rushing to you, burdened by sin. O Lord of Vrisha Hill, O Hari, protect me with your highest grace!

adhivēṅkaṭaśailamudāramatērjanatābhimatādhikadānaratāt |
paradēvatayā gaditānnigamaiḥ kamalādayitānna paraṃ kalayē || 4 ||

O generous Lord of Venkata Hill, who joyfully gives devotees even more than they wish for,
The Vedas and all gods proclaim you the highest. Lakshmi's beloved — there is none greater than you.

kalavēṇuravāvaśagōpavadhūśatakōṭivṛtātsmarakōṭisamāt |
prativallavikābhimatāt sukhadāt vasudēvasutānna paraṃ kalayē || 5 ||

With your irresistible flute music you captivated countless gopis, and you are as dazzlingly handsome as millions of Cupids.
You gave each gopi exactly the joy she yearned for. O son of Vasudeva, there is truly none equal to you.

abhirāma guṇākara dāśarathē jagadēkadhanurdhara dhīramatē |
raghunāyaka rāma ramēśa vibhō varadō bhava dēva dayājaladhē || 6 ||

O beloved son of Dasharatha, full of noble qualities! O sole great archer of the universe, firm and courageous in resolve!
O Leader of Raghus, O Rama, Lakshmi's Lord, O ocean of compassion — please grant me your blessings, O God!

avanītanayā kamanīyakaraṃ rajanīkaracārumukhāmburaham |
rajanīcararājatamō mihiraṃ mahanīyam ahaṃ raghurāmam ayē || 7 ||

Sita holds your beautiful hands, and your face glows like a radiant moon on a lotus.
You are the sun that destroys the darkness of demons. O most worshipful Rama of the Raghu clan, I seek your shelter!

sumukhaṃ suhṛdaṃ sulabhaṃ sukhadaṃ svanujañca sukāyam amōghaśaram |
apahāya raghūdvaham anyam ahaṃ na kathaṃcana kañcana jātu bhajē || 8 ||

You have a beautiful face, a kind heart, easy to approach, a giver of joy, accompanied by your brothers, with a handsome form and unfailing arrows.
Setting you aside, O glory of the Raghu line, I shall never, ever, worship anyone else — not now, not ever.

vinā vēṅkaṭēśaṃ na nāthō na nāthaḥ sadā vēṅkaṭēśaṃ smarāmi smarāmi |
harē vēṅkaṭēśa prasīda prasīda priyaṃ vēṅkaṭēśa prayaccha prayaccha || 9 ||

Without Venkatesha I have no guardian, no refuge. I always, always remember you, O Venkatesha!
O Hari, O Venkatesha, be pleased with me! O Venkatesha, kindly grant me your love and grace — please grant it!

ahaṃ dūratastē padāmbhōjayugma praṇāmēcchayā'gatya sēvāṃ karōmi |
sakṛtsēvayā nitya sēvāphalaṃ tvaṃ prayaccha prayaccha prabhō vēṅkaṭēśa || 10 ||

Coming from afar, longing to bow at your lotus feet, I have arrived here and offer you my service.
O Lord Venkatesha, through this one service, grant me the reward of eternal devotion. Please grant it, grant it!

ajñāninā mayā dōṣān aśēṣān vihitān harē |
kṣamasva tvaṃ kṣamasva tvaṃ śēṣaśailaśikhāmaṇē || 11 ||

O Hari, all the countless wrongs I have done are simply out of my ignorance — I knew no better.
O crown jewel of Shesha Hill, please forgive me, forgive me — I humbly beg your pardon!
